Shall We Dance? The Hotties of ‘Dancing With the Stars’

Dirty Hollywood

The hottest guys on must-see TV this fall aren’t portraying high profile CIA agents, crime bosses, serial killers or men of the law. No, the men to watch are spray tanned, sexy and sparkling from head to toe as they fox trot, tango and jive their way into homes every Monday night on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars. These guys, with their abs, charm and award-winning dance moves, are proving that they, in fact, have all the right moves.

Here are some of the standouts from season 17:

Corbin Bleu. Move over Zac Efron, there’s a new Disney-bred leading man in town. Corbin, best known for his role as Chad in High School Musical, currently stars in the revamp of the soap series, One Life to Live. Partnered with pro Karina Smirnoff, he is a powerhouse of passion, athleticism and charisma—and he can dance! Oh, did you see those muscles?

Brant Daugherty. Meet the new pretty boy of the pack. Best known for his role in the hit TV show Pretty Little Liars, Brant seems like a genuine guy who really wants to improve each week. Right off the bat, pro Peta Murgatroyd staked her claim, but those abs and pearly whites still receive loyal viewers each week.

Derek Hough. Yes, he’s a pro, but this golden boy is still scoring high marks after receiving an Emmy for his choreography on the show. Paired with Amber Riley of Glee, a fan favorite, he continues to wow audiences with his innovative dance routines and likeable personality. Who wouldn’t love this guy? He’s handsome, talented and family-oriented—and he’s taken home the coveted mirror ball trophy an impressive four times. That shows stamina … and let’s just say, the ladies seem to like that.

Tristan MacManus. Make my heart dance and sing an Irish sonnet right now. The sensitive, patient pro of every season he has been on (four of them, to be exact), Tristan consistently wins hearts with his endearing Irish charm and heartfelt appreciation for his partners. While I do think he has yet to receive a partner that allows him to showcase his range of talents, this season’s pairing with TV legend Valerie Harper made viewers smile and misty-eyed at the same time. Combined with that adorable accent and his boy-next-door good looks, I hope Tristan becomes a staple of the DWTS franchise.

Val Chmerkovskiy. The bad boy of the ballroom. (Cue Bruno Tonioli and his gyrating hip action.) Some women may still be nursing the heartache of not having Maks in the ballroom, but I, for one, am happy to see Val connect with audiences (and his partners) in a way that distinguishes him from simply being “the other Chmerkovskiy.” He is multitalented (he can set the mood by playing violin) without being pompous about it. Plus, it’s always great seeing his dance partners bring out his playful side. And what are the odds he’d be paired with Elizabeth Berkley, aka Jessie from Saved by the Bell, the show from which he admits to learning English? Totes adorbs.

Jack Osbourne. How fantastic is it to see the Osbourne clan come together every week to support loveable Jack?! I find this family so endearing, and like his sister Kelly, Jack is surprising audiences—and even his pro partner Cheryl Burke—with just how smooth and graceful he is on the dance floor. Even his diagnosis of multiple sclerosis at age 26 didn’t deter him from reaching for that Mirror Ball; instead, it pushes him harder to do well in this competition. At the start of the show, he said he wanted to prove those with multiple sclerosis can still learn and try new things. We’re learning what a great man that youngest Osbourne has become, and we can’t wait to see more each week.

DANCING WITH THE STARS - "Episode 1701" -- "Dancing with the Stars" is back with an all-new cast and fresh show format. The competition began with the two-hour season premiere, live, MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 16 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. Kicking off with a spectacular opening number featuring the entire cast, each couple then performed a Cha Cha, Foxtrot or Contemporary routine. (ABC/Adam Taylor) JACK OSBOURNE, CHERYL BURKE

Sasha Farber. His name may not ring a bell, but that’s because this is his first season as a pro after spending several seasons in the Dancing With the Stars troupe. Paired with Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi (and how fab does she look?), I coined them the completely “fun-sized” couple. (Side note: He is dating another first-time Dancing With the Stars pro, Emma Slater, who is paired with Bill Engvall.) Sasha seems fun, fearless and possesses the right balance of “I mean business” and “Let’s goof around.” Plus, he appears to be connecting with audiences, an overall great showing for a first-time pro.
