Athleisure is Still Alive and Kicking: Here Are the Trends for the Upcoming Season

Beauty + Fashion

It isn’t easy to talk about fashion trends at this very moment as we didn’t have the opportunity to rock all our spring and summer outfits in the streets like we did last year. This pandemic definitely took its toll on fashion as well, but on the other hand, it kind of changed it a little bit. Different things matter now, and it’s time to approach fall in a completely new way in order to affirm ourselves. What will we be wearing this fall? What colors should we go for, and is there anything else that we ought to have in mind? Take a look at the biggest athleisure fashion trends for this fall:

Happiness lies in less

One thing that we learned this year is that happiness lies in small things. COVID-19 taught us that we should always be happy with what we have. What can a million dollars do for you if you’re not healthy? In that same manner, we also realized that minimalism really is the key to something beautiful. Minimalism has once again become an integral part of our wardrobe. It doesn’t matter if we chose the most minimalistic clothes to go to the store before returning to our quarantine bed or to go out on a walk – we once again proved that this trend is indeed one of the best. This fall, we will all focus on natural, leafy tones such as soft green, grey, or warm brown. Let’s make this fall simple yet cozy.

Still alive and kicking

Did you forget about athleisure? Well, of course, you didn’t as it’s one of the best fashion trends ever to hit the shelves and runways, and it’s here to stay. Athleisure is a fantastic trend that proved very helpful in this pandemic – we were able to stay in our sweatpants at home and then put on a blazer and a shirt and hit the streets to buy a coffee-to-go. As far as athleisure trends go, this season, we should pay special attention to footwear. Colorful sneakers are the next big thing (at least for the upcoming season) and they are a great way to inject some pop of color into the gloomy fall days. Because of that and because you want to be fashionable and always on point, it would be good to keep your eyes open for the Kicks Guru sneakers release dates as not only do these shoes look incredible but they are also very comfortable. This being said, always browse for shoes that are comfortable and opt for them. Comfort really is everything.

Speaking of activewear…

In order to rock athleisure the right way, you have to care for activewear trends as well. As far as this is concerned, you might want to pay attention to leggings that shape, lift and sculpt your legs, both while working out and while walking. This is also an item of clothing that is super easy to pair with a sweatshirt and a nice pair of shoes, making a great outfit for a short walk out or a visit to the supermarket. Apart from that, one-piece activewear is also something you might want to keep your eye on. These include bodysuits, leotards, and catsuits. Last year, these saw an increase of more than 80% in sales. Finally, it’s also important to mention that 2020 saw a big trend in eco-conscious activewear apart from these clothing items. This year showed us that we have to care for our planet’s health, so it’s not surprising that shoppers worldwide are more and more interested in ethically made pieces of clothing. This doesn’t only apply to formal and casual attire, but for activewear as well.

Shine like a pearl

Yes, fall is all about earthy tones, but this year, we will all be looking at some of the best examples of pearly surfaces on clothes. This is a great way to get ready for the festive season that is ahead of us! Ranging from leggings to pants and even bodysuits, these pearlescent surfaces give that glamorous and sophisticated touch that plenty of us desire even while working out. And we all know how important fitness and looking good while working out are! It’s a great way to add some shine to this utterly crazy year.

It has been a while since we last went crazy about new trends. Spring and summer were completely hectic, but let’s focus more on fall and winter that are just around the corner!
