Modern day Mrs. Robinsons are a whole new breed. Whether it’s due to divorce, financial independence or simply because they can – more women than ever are empowered and engaged in relationships with men 10, 20, even 30+ years younger. There are even “how to” books to help guide women through such conquests. It’s a jungle out there and not every big cat is the same, so here’s your lexicon to older women seeking younger men.
- Jaguar Not just a luxury car, rather the lap of luxury for women 50+ dating men in their 20s or 30s. They tend to be financially stable and looking for sex. Think Joan Collins and her fifth and current husband who is 32 years her junior, even Madonna qualifies these days. Or just envision a female version of Hugh Hefner.
- Cougar The most popular cat! A woman in her late 30s-40s looking to score with a much younger man. She looks hotter than ever and is likely coming from a failed relationship. She’s not the game-playing 20-something you’d meet at the bar (A B.S. is her degree not her game plan for getting guys to buy her drinks). Think Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher- minus the front page infidelity rumors.
- Mountain Lion A cougar that is ugly. Enough said.
- Puma A pre-cougar. She’s in her 20s to mid-30s and likes to date much younger men. She’s good-looking but definitely does NOT have kids. She’s the confident type who’s got a low probability of being a gold digger. Sometimes she runs in the pack with the cougars. One celeb couple that comes to mind is the stars of “Slumdog Millionaire”, actress Freida Pinto just turned 27 and Dev Patel is only 21.
My, my, my…with so many possibilities it puts a whole new meaning to “cat fight”!

I think a couple of these are also OSX operating systems too.
Okay, I’ll be honest, I have had an experience with a cougar. They know what they want, (sometimes) so lets just say I brought home a lost puppy at one point. She was more complex than I am. I realized it would have been two positive ions bumping into each other, it wouldn’t have worked (and she was smart enough to realize this too). So we quickly parted ways on mutually amicable terms. I don’t know much what to think about it, I just looked at it as I helped out somebody who needed some help. If a cat is stuck in a tree, I guess its okay to call the fire department to get the cat out of the tree.
From a total and complete puma, thank you
