The Lure of Unavailable Men

What the hell is it with wanting what we cannot have?! I am sorry but I do not enjoy lusting over someone who is not available and yet it happens to me time and time again.

Maybe its human nature, the ego in full effect OR that all the good ones are already taken. WHY?!! Why are they already taken? Because a smart woman knows a good man when she see’s one and let’s face it: the goods ones are a rare breed.

I wish I could be a bad girl and do what I really want to do, BUT it just ain’t my style.

So how do we stop lusting over some GUY that is already snatched??

  1. Move on.
  2. Drink.
  3. Get under someone else.
  4. Convince ourselves we can do better.
  5. Think of all the terrible nauseating things the ‘crush’ does when he’s with his taken lady.
  6. Have your friends tell you that your an idiot.
  7. Avoiding online dating, it won’t make you feel any better.
  8. Go shopping.
  9. Write a blog about it.
  10. And for me personally, I wrote a song called “Bad Bad Girl” about all the things I really want to do to the unavailable man.

Ladies if you have any other ideas please let me know! Good luck on getting over the unavailable.

  1. Okay, I am going to open this topic up to conversation and development.

    How is unavailable being defined?

    1. Is it from an emotional standpoint?

    2. From a relationship standpoint… i.e. you are not a home wrecker and don’t want to wreck your best friend’s home?

    3. Circumstantial, he travels a lot and is geographically unavailable?

    4. Career focused, … i.e. a workaholic?

Any other ideas or further development should be expanded upon because this topic has great depth to it and odds are there are many other people out there in the same position.

  2. p.s. Because if “unavailable” can be defined further, odds are some kind of feasible work-a-around can be found and a solution developed.
