Getting Your Beau Involved In The Wedding Planning Process Is Easier Than You Would Think

A common complaint that a lot of brides have is that their partners don’t seem to be too fussed about getting involved with their wedding planning. Although most brides know what they want their wedding to be like, that doesn’t mean that they don’t want their partners to get involved. After all, you’re both getting married, so it really should be a joint effort, shouldn’t it?

Planning your big day shouldn’t just be down to you – the bride, it should be something that you and your partner do together. The question is, how do you get him excited to get involved?

Take him to a wedding planning event

He might drag his feet a bit about going to a wedding event, but once he arrives, he’ll love it. A lot of brides make the mistake of going to wedding events exclusively with their bridesmaids. However, if you want to get your man involved, you need to take him along too. Go with your bridesmaids to a couple of events, but don’t forget to invite him along every so often.

The chances are that once he arrives and sees all of the interesting and exciting stalls, he’ll soon get into the swing of things. The problem for men is that they don’t realize how fun wedding planning can be, hence their hesitation to get involved. However, once he sees how much fun wedding planning is, he’ll probably want to play a more active role.

Ask him his opinion on things

The reason a lot of grooms-to-be hold back on getting involved with wedding planning is because they feel pushed out. If you’re constantly asking your friends or mom for their thoughts on things but not him, he’ll feel like he isn’t needed. So, make an effort to ask his opinions on things and take them on board.

Don’t just ask him about which mens wedding rings he likes best, ask him about your wedding ring design as well. Don’t just choose a color scheme, ask him what his thoughts are on each one. When selecting the entertainment, make sure to talk to him about it. After all, it’s important that you both have a good time. If he doesn’t like to dance, try to think of alternatives that he would enjoy, such as having a poker table set up. The more involved you make him feel, the more involved in the planning process he will get.

To make your beau feel included in the planning process, consider giving him a task to deal with on his own. This could be arranging part of the entertainment, or it could be coming up with ideas for the food. It doesn’t matter what task you give him, just as long as you make him feel like he is valued when it comes to planning your big day.

Take the food, for example, if you want food that’s unique, get him to come up with some suggestions. Men tend to be great at thinking outside the box, so he may come up with a unique twist on your wedding breakfast that you would never have thought of.

So there you have it, some tips and ideas for getting your man involved in the wedding planning process. Take these on board and give them a try, and you should be able to get your beau more excited about your big day.
