Yes, I’m as guilty as you! I spend way too much time on my computer and not enough time enjoying nature and the great outdoors – but in 2016, that’s going to change!
Those of you who have been following me on social media know that I just spent the past few weeks traveling all over Southeast Asia. Needless to say the whole experience has been completely life changing! I did not turn on a TV the whole time, watch Netflix or spend countless hours perusing Facebook. How could I when every day I was off first thing in the morning soaking in the sights, culture and once in a lifetime experiences. I traveled to three different countries, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. All of these destinations have been on my bucket list for years. But the one thing I was looking forward to most was watching the sunrise at Angkor Wat, the largest religious complex in the world located in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
I’m not a morning person so that 4:00am wake up call was a little brutal. But once a I downed a coffee and croissant I was off to Angkor Wat and lined up for the 5:30am entry to watch the sunrise. I’m sure you have a lot of questions about this experience, so I made a video. You have to see it to believe the magic!
I’ve returned home with a new experience on life and what’s important. There is really nothing more eye opening than travel!
I wish you many adventures in 2016! Dream big! And get out of your comfort zone! This was my first time in Asia, so was I a little nervous about heading to Vietnam … damn straight! But my time spent there with people in both the cities and the villages will stay with me forever as one of the best experiences in my life. So be bold!! Have a year of saying yes!
