Are You a Wonder Woman?
by Sarah Agajanian

There are so many women taking Los Angeles by storm right now. I am lucky to know many of them and I know for a fact that DirtyandThirty.com breeds them, thanks to Stuart Brazell and Stefanie Seifer for giving life to such a supportive forum. Now I am positive WONDER WOMEN are doing their thing all around the world.

How do you know if you fit in this category??

You know you are a WONDER WOMAN when:

You have more than 3 projects growing at a time a.k.a many fires burning.

You are passionate and ambitious.

Your priorities ly in your family, work, friends, yourself and you manage to balance them all.

You don’t allow the men to get in the way, you keep marching forward. (Unless they are lucky enough to stay)

You inspire those around you.

You have dreams and you share them.

You support your friends dreams, and you LOVE them for it.

Jealousy is not in your vocabulary.

Your ego is not your main blaze.

You lead with your heart.

You genuinely care about your place in the world.

You are happy most the time and when you are not you are okay with it.

You don’t strive for perfection, you strive for awesome. “There’s no getting it right. There’s just getting it AWESOME.”- Fellow D&T blogger Jennifer Pastiloff

You love your body and sexuality.

You own your life.

You live in the moment and are open for possibility.

And lastly, you’ll keep being YOU and you are 100% percent content with just that.

To all the WONDER WOMEN, keep on flying.

I love this list, but I often wonder: is it really possible to “balance” or “manage” it ALL? I’m a mom, wife, entrepreneur, friend, sibling, etc…and I am always exhausted. I love every part of my life, but managing it all is a beast and there is really no time left for myself. This statement sounds nice, but I don’t know any moms who feel they’ve got it down. “Your priorities lie in your family, work, friends, yourself and you manage to balance them all.”

  2. I find that once I connected to my true self I was able to balance all of these things listed in this blog. Without balance I could never be truly fully engaged in all the wonderful facets of my life. Power to the wonder woman!

  3. I found that once I connected with my true self I could balance all of the different facets of my life. Power to the Wonder Woman.

  4. Adam Hennessey says:

I am a guy so by default I am not a women. I am a big fan of empowerment and having a zest for life. So hats off to all of you. (its me just using a crappy cell phone browser)

  5. I figured this post was so well done It warranted a through response. I realized that the above are universal truths that apply to both men and women. So I figured I could honor them best by going through them one at a time and answering them the best I can with the most honesty and integrity possible.

You know you are a WONDER WOMAN when:

    Q. You have more than 3 projects growing at a time a.k.a many fires burning.

    A. Yeah, I have more than 3 projects growing, by definition they are in various stages of development, they a both personal and professional.

    Q. You are passionate and ambitious.

    A. Yes, very much so, I have given 100% and then some in the last year because I know no other way to live life.

    Q. Your priorities ly in your family, work, friends, yourself and you manage to balance them all.

    A. Yes, ical is a godsend. I would be completely lost if I did no have it.

    Q. You don’t allow the men to get in the way, you keep marching forward. (Unless they are lucky enough to stay)

    A. We’re all human under here. Sometimes the best way to figure out what you want is by figuring out what you don’t want. You take each relationship, learn everything you can from it and apply it to the next one.

    Q. You inspire those around you.

    A. I am terribly humble but for the purpose of the question I will offer a response. I do, my friends in college on the swim team used to tell me I was going to save the world some day. In the highlight reel at the end of the year, when they played my clip they used “You’ve got the touch.” “Its the theme song for Optimus Prime from the original animated movie. I always say its about the person next to you and about doing something greater than your own self interests.

    Q. You have dreams and you share them.

    A. Yes, as humble and modest as I am I do, growing up in the midwest and going to school in upstate new york I did not see the sun a whole lot. So I am living one of my dreams by being in Los Angeles where the sun is out every day. I want to fall in love and get married and all that good stuff too.

    Q. You support your friends dreams, and you LOVE them for it.

    A. I do with all my heart.

    Q. Jealousy is not in your vocabulary.

    A. Absolutely, I do not believe in jealousy

    Q. Your ego is not your main blaze.

    A. Absolutely, I am not an egomaniac, if asked, I can show confidence, if somebody, a man or a women needs/asks me to show confidence under certain circumstances I can do so. Most of the time, I am a big humble teddy bear under here.

    Q. You lead with your heart.

    A. Yes, very much so, I was always told, “You gotta have the love.”

    Q. You genuinely care about your place in the world.

    A. I do, I am very grateful for those around me.

    Q. You are happy most the time and when you are not you are okay with it.

    A. Yes, along with the Ritalin I take for the ADD/ADHD I also take Prozac too to balance it out, so (tongue and cheek humor here) I figured out a software solution for my brain. I am not afraid to talk about it, I am honest, I don’t worry about what the neighbors and the media say. It doesn’t make any less sensitive to the good parts of life so I keep on truckn’

    Q. You don’t strive for perfection, you strive for awesome. “There’s no getting it right. There’s just getting it AWESOME.”- Fellow D&T blogger Jennifer Pastiloff

    A. Yes, very much so, nothing and nobody is perfect. Awesome is the best solution.

    Q. You love your body and sexuality.

    A. I do take care of my self, its the only body I got and repairs are expensive. As for sexuality, I am enthusiastic about it, I am not a sexaholic egomaniac, if I a women wants to have sex with me I am okay with it, I am not one to force myself on anybody, she just needs to come and talk to me and tell me what she wants and we’ll figure out something so everybody is happy in the end.

    Q. You own your life.

    A. Yes, I am not a megalomaniac, I do take responsibility and go through life with a deliberate effort and purpose.

    Q. You live in the moment and are open for possibility.

    A. I do live in the moment, at the same time balancing it with moderation, as William Shakespeare wrote, “Love each other in moderation,. That is the key to long-lasting love. Too fast is as bad as too slow.”

    Q. And lastly, you’ll keep being YOU and you are 100% percent content with just that.

    A. Yes, I was always raised to be true to yourself. (More tongue and cheek humor here) I am very comfortable in my own skin, its custom made for me, I couldn’t wear anybody else’s it does not fit.

    Q. To all the WONDER WOMEN, keep on flying.

    A. I usually go by “Don’t go faster or higher than your guardian angel can,” and I know the ones on my shoulders got rocket engines built by NASA and secret alien technology.

  6. I meant thorough response… no excuse here, I’ll just fall on my sword :)
