Okay ladies, let’s face it…since we were little girls, the media has bombarded us with what we should look like, and some of us bought into it and would feel not so awesome about ourselves. Now that we’re wiser, we SHOULD feel confident and not compare ourselves to others. BUT with all the magazines, TV & movies, social media, etc.…I can understand and identify with how it could be a difficult thing to do.
So here is my pep talk as you are working towards your fitness and health goals:
Do NOT wish you looked like someone else because you are pretty AWESOME!! Only YOU can be you and remind yourself of that daily! Do not lose your confidence if you see someone who has a body you wish you had…motivate yourself instead to work harder on YOU. Be the best version of yourself rather than trying to look like someone else. Every BODY is different! Stop admiring other people’s body and make other people admire yours. It’s great to look at motivating pictures of other women’s hard work…they will encourage you to work out, eat clean, and stay focused on your goals.
My suggestion? Find a picture of YOU that you love and use that as your motivation. Maybe it’s from a few years ago when you were 20lbs lighter, an athlete or dancer, a pre-baby photo, wearing a hot mini dress or bikini, etc.… whatever the photo may be, use it to meet your desired fitness and healthy lifestyle!
Love yourself. Love your body. Work towards the best YOU.
