Parental Discretion Advised.

Girl Power

We’re expecting.

A baby boy.

A baby boy that will have two Jewish mothers.

Oy. Poor Thing.

Or is it?

Friends have said we are on to something.

The something that their husbands lack.

Being a woman.

Having another woman around the house.

Understanding what women go through after giving birth.

Help with all things maternal and domestic.

After all, we do laundry, we cook, we clean, we nest.

Not that men don’t possess these qualities.

But really, who are we kidding.

We got this down.

Two moms.

Who wouldn’t sign up for that, sans the sex of course if you’re not gay.

(But for the record, it’s fantastic)

Welcome to our mommy blog.

Welcome to Parental Discretion Advised.

Mazel Tov to you two! Our beautiful little girl was born just over a year ago and is lucky enough to enjoy two dotaing Jewish moms and a Bobba as well! Many of our straight friends who had babies at the same time have expressed how they envy us having each other [another woman] to turn to through this!

Of course 2 moms make life easier…for the moms!
Anyone ever take a moment to consider the *child*?
Sure, he’ll be overloaded with doting, caring, maternal folks and that’s lovely, but pristine laundry and domestic prowess don’t exactly fill up the big, gaping hole only a dad can fill.
May you not pass your selfishness on to your baby.

Now we know who the seinsble one is here. Great post!

  11. aljuhara says:

ehem, from personal experience I know some dads only think of filling a particular hole and then they just blooming disappear. Yet those kids grow up fine. Others hang around and try to pretend they care. The kids are still ok. So Im thinking this one will be better than fine. You go, gals.
