How Busy Women Stay on Top. The work women do is incredible. We fill the role of worker, mother, sister, daughter, hero, and more. We do so much that not even we know how we get it all done. We just know that we need to get everything done so we do it. Still, we should always take the chance to make our lives easier whenever we can.
Whether you’re working your way up to your dream job, being a mom is your full-time job, or you are pursuing a degree, there is never enough time in the day. If you don’t stay organized, too many things can slip through your fingers and can lead to unnecessary stress.
To keep track of everything you need to get done, try getting a time management app, keeping a bullet journal, or using a planner to help keep your schedule on track. Having a written form of your schedule can help you remember what tasks you need to do and will help you feel more in control, which will lessen your stress.
Another way to get in control of your day is to optimize the way you start it. In order to get a head start in the morning, try the following:
Going to the gym regularly is not easy. A decent gym can be expensive and the prep work before and after takes time out of your schedule that you might not have available. When you have a busy schedule, you gotta keep everything quick and easy, but you can’t forgo your physical health.
Luckily, you can fit exercise into your lifestyle to maintain your health. Throughout your day, whether you’re at home, in the office, or out and about, you should try to be moving around as much as you can. If you’re having a still day, you should try to stretch your legs every hour. You can do this by going to grab some water or just taking a loop around your space.
Every few hours, you should take a longer walk to get your blood flowing. You can also supplement this by going up and down the stairs a few times and doing some calisthenics, like jumping jacks, to keep you on your toes.
Do whatever you can to fit exercise into your life. This can be picking up a physical hobby that you can do with your kids if you have them or just choosing something fun and active that interests you. It can be something outdoors like hiking, skiing, or rock climbing, or something indoors like taking a cycling, pole-dancing, or Zumba class. You can also do mini-workouts between your tasks, or even between Netflix episodes.
Eating healthy, drinking water, and sleeping enough (when it’s possible), can help you look and feel great at any age. Maintaining your health can help boost your confidence and keep you prepared to tackle your tasks of the day.
Remember to set aside a budget for yourself. You work hard, you know you don’t get enough credit, and you don’t have to wait for anyone else to reward you. Get on it and treat yourself from time to time.
Though it might feel selfish — it shouldn’t but it can — taking time for yourself is an important part of self-care. You need to do this to refresh yourself mentally and re-energize to be able to take on all the mountains you want to.
There are many ways to fit self-care into your schedule, ranging from physical activities to making yourself feel beautiful. The way you do it is completely up to you, but you should dedicate time to what fills you with confidence and joy.
Doing it all is not easy, and no one is perfect. By managing your time and working your needs into your routine, however, you can find the best way for you to check off everything on your to-do list.
