Saturday Night Live kicked off its 38th season last night with a bang!! Host Seth MacFarlane, 38 — who created the animated hit Family Guy, killed it with his opening monologue and pretty much every scene. Go Seth!
There were so many highlights from the puppetry sketch, Cint Eastwood and The Chair and Frank Ocean’s moving performances with special guest John Mayer (p.s. what was up with the video arcade moment?) But most definitely my favorite part of last night’s show has to be MacFarlane’s parody of five-time Olympic gold medalist Ryan Locthe during Seth Meyers‘ Weekend Update sketch.
“Hey, Seth. I’m Ryan Lochte,” MacFarlane garbled. “I was America in the Olympics.”
Meyers then asked his guest about what new fall TV shows he’s most looking forward to watching and here’s what he said:
Isn’t this segment hilarious? I loved the bit about the commercials when MacFarlane/Lochte said “I was watching this one show and like partway through, there were all these other little shows.”
“Those are commercials,” Meyers explained.
“Yeah, that makes sense, because I was in a bunch of ‘em,” his guest shrugged.

This was one of the good skits from the show. “It’s so weird being dry.” Seth MacFarlane did a great job opening up the new season of SNL. I did enjoy the show, and I’m looking forward to seeing the rest of the episodes this season! I’ve already set my Hopper to record the season to my two terabyte hard-drive since I work late at Dish and can’t watch them live. I hope that the rest of the season is just as funny, if not better.
The best line is the one about, “How it feels so weird to be dry.” That’s so true, he is not lying. It does feel weird.
Gawd, I wish I’d been at my tv to see that. SO freakin’ hilair! LOL “That was so GO OD”. HAHA
