What You Should Do Now to Get Ready for Summer. With summer just around the corner there is little time left for preparation, still, we need to get our body and mind ready for the summer heat. In order to prepare for the temperature change, air dryness and increased effects of sunlight we need to adjust both our nutritional and fitness habits not to mention our skin care regimen. Here are some great tips on what you should do to get ready for the summer so that you can enjoy it to the fullest.

Go green

At least when it comes to nutrition. A lot of fresh fruit and vegetables are at your disposal during the late spring and summer months it would be a shame not to take advantage of that. Your body can load up of vitamins, minerals and fibers and you can really give your entire metabolism a boost the natural way. Make sure you include a plate of greens every day during the warm months. And on the plus side, this modified nutrition can do wonders for your waistline.

Get your moisture on

Harsh sun and dry air are not exactly the best option for our skin. This is why it is essential to up our moisturization game during the summer months. It is important to opt for a better quality and stronger moisturizer during the summer as to avoid skin dryness and flaking. And if you are uncertain which ones to pick, you can always check out the offer from your go-to chemist online, and read the labels, that way you can find the moisturizers that will be best suited for your skin type. Remember, it is always better to go with organic products that are herb-based as they are good for both your skin and the health of your entire body.

Remember to up your hydration game

We are sure you are tired of hearing this, but it is nevertheless one of the most important pieces of advice for the summer months. Have a bottle of water on you at all times, remind yourself that you need to drink more. It is essential that you increase your daily water intake. It will improve your metabolism and do wonders for your skin. And just to be clear, water is key, not sodas and other fluids that contain high levels of sugar in them.

Adjust your fitness routine

As the days get warmer it is important to adjust your daily fitness routine so as not to exert your body too much. The plus side is that you can introduce a lot of outside activities and exercises. First makes sure you exercise early in the morning or late in the evening when the temperatures drop a bit. You can not have the same regimen you had over the winter months, it would be wise to cut down on cardio as to avoid overheating. In addition, make sure you take a shower before each training session in order to drop your starting body temperature a bit, and don’t forget to check your heart rate and adjust your exercises accordingly.

Modify your skincare regimen

Just like you need to change your fitness routine it is essential to make some adjustment to your skincare regimen. Of course, the previously mentioned moisturizer and hydration are a big part of it, but there are also some other aspects that need to be considered. First of all, exfoliation. Once a week is enough during the summer months as your skin is exposed to sun a lot more and anything more than that will be too much, and do more damage than good. Next is getting a quality sunscreen, this is an absolute must, have one on you at all times and make sure you apply it at least several times a day. Finally, make sure you keep a lip balm with an SPF on you at all times, with the summer heat and lack of moisture in the air, your lips are in danger of cracking.

There you have it, if you apply all of these tips you are going to be more than ready to face the sunny summer months with a healthy body and mind, and not to mention glowing skin.
