Spa Day at the Cosmpolitan’s Sahra Spa & Hammam

After four days of fun in Las Vegas (and you know how intense that can be…), I opted to spend my final day re-charging for the busy work week ahead at the Cosmopolitan’s incredible Sahra Spa & Hammam. Boy – was this a smart decision!

I didn’t want to do the usual massage or facial, so I went with one of their signature rituals called the Calm and Tranquil Sahra Transformation. This caught my eye because these services are designed to treat the entire being and use guided imagery or meditation, custom music, drinks and refreshments to add to the body treatment experience. The Calm and Tranquil was specifically for “pre- or post-boarding to minimize any side effects of jet lag or a busy life. A steam bath, massage with chakra balancing, re-alignment treatment and re-balancing beverage are included – ideal between your checkout and departure.”

My ritual began with a tonic to energize and detoxify my body and make the most of my treatment. It basically tasted like fancy lemonade, so I took it to the head. Then my therapist exfoliated my entire body using a dry brush, which is literally brushing away dead skin cells with a brush. This was as close as I’ve ever been to feeling like a horse. Next she used a buffer, which looks like something that should be used on your car during an automatic wash. Basically it exercises your muscles without you having to do a thing ….. = heaven! After that I was treated to the most luxurious massage with the just the right amount of pressure followed by a foot massage and scrub. I left the room floating on air and headed straight to the hot tub, then steam room and finally the cold mist room.

I absolutely 100% will be back to this beyond magical spa – but only after a hefty paycheck as the prices are way up there! And enjoy the pic I took heading into the Women’s locker room. Remember ladies, it is always a good idea to #treatyoself!
