Put on a Great Show This Spring

Beauty + Fashion

The New Year is here and the first month has already passed. Everyone who has started working on their body goals for this year is ready to make more of an impact. Winter season will finally be over soon and it will be time to bring our A game when it comes to style and fashion. Just like every year, trends have changed this year. The looks work perfectly whether you want to have a night out or go to work. Be prepared for a whole new ball game in terms of makeup styles, accessories and dresses. Here is a list of things that you need to bring your A-game in terms of fashion and put on a great show this spring:

Make Up:

  • Starting off with face first, there a lot of things that have made a comeback from the recent past in make-up. These beauty trends are a must have for any woman. As seen on the ramp in Carolina Herrera’s shows, smoky eyes maybe a recurring trend but they have gone soft. No need to put three different shades on your lids just put one with a soft brush and you are done with your eyes.
  • There is a reason why the eyes have been given less attention that they were given lately. This is due to the blush bomb effect for your cheek bones. If Valentino’s shows are any guide at all, the shades are bright this time and the look is fierce.
  • Bold Lips are going to be a favorite this season as displayed by Valentino’s runway models. Striking shades of red, orange and pink are going to be seen a lot on many occasions.

  • Remember the canary colored Cavalli dress that Queen Beyoncé wore in the video of Hold Up. It has us mesmerized ever still, just as it has provided inspiration to many designers. If you watched the Golden Globes, the show provides a good hint for you on how popular yellow is going to be in dresses this season. Viola Davis Presenter and winner for the night, Natalie Portman, Maisie Williams and many more prominent ladies were wearing different shades of yellow that night.
  • Bra tops can be seen as a dress code in the coming season. Designers like de la Renta and Alexander Wang have showcased bra tops in their spring collection. Different designs and patterns are perfect for showcasing your body.
  • Drop shoulder and off shoulder trend is going to continue occupying its top position as a hot trend and it tells ladies that they need to show off their shoulders more often. Be prepared for a lot of ruffles as well since they are going to be seen a lot on dresses and blouses. Moreover, the trend where the sleeves are cutout from the shoulders is going to be a major part of dresses this season.
  • Patterns like beach stripes and flowers are going strong on the runway and are expected to be seen quite a lot in even more collections this year.

  • Anklets are the show stealer here as they have gotten chunkier and more attention grabbing. Gone are the days when they were just fragile looking and thin.
  • Chokers will continue to dominate the female necks, so this is a trend that is definitely a keepsake.
  • Big earrings with the length going as much as below the shoulder blades are now being seen in New York Fashion week and are being flaunted by celebrities as well.

  • Platform heels are all about making a style statement, all the while giving an oomph factor.
  • High boots can also be used to accentuate your legs and give a great effect of added height to any wearer.
  • Flats are also back in fashion, with a slight heel and with a strappy or a covered toe. So if you plan on going casual and comfortable then this is certainly the choice for you.

Any fashion that you may choose to incorporate, make sure to carry it with confidence and attitude. It is your confidence that can make you look beautiful and stylish. So don’t be shy and channel inner fashionista with the guideline provided above.
