How To Make Your Legs Feel Good and Look Great This Summer

Do you want perfectly toned, fabulous legs? Getting your legs in top shape and keeping them that way involves: leading a healthier lifestyle, taking care of your skin, exercising regularly and having a bit of luck with your genes.

Whether or not you were born with a perfect pair of legs, there are always ways to improve the way they look. It is a matter of personal preference whether you want strong muscled legs or skinny and feminine ones, but both will require some extra care and effort.

Here are some tips on how to make your legs look and feel great this summer:

1. Regular exercising


In order to properly shape your legs, you will need to spend more time and energy doing the appropriate strength training and cardio exercises. With cardio exercises such as: cycling, jogging or elliptical machine training you will help lose that extra fat and at the same time build up and sculpt those muscles.

If you enjoy Zumba or any kind of dancing, you can help better form the hips, calves and quadriceps. Running or stair-stepping will help shape the thighs and calves, and cycling will help make your calves look and feel much more toned.

If you have problematic spots on your legs, you can help improve these particular parts with specific strength exercises. For example, if you want to shape your outer thighs and hips, you should do leg lifts from an all-four position. Extend each leg straight back and up 30 times a day, and pretty soon you will be able to see the difference in the shape of those hips and thighs.

Actually, it will take you only about 15-20 minutes a day to better shape those legs. Take the time to do several series of side leg lifts, walking and side lunges as well as pulsing squats for the inner thighs. In just a few weeks, the effect on your legs will become visible.

2. Protect them from the sun


Sunblock shouldn’t be limited to your face and arms only. Remember to use it on your legs as well. This will protect you from melanoma, and will keep your skin nice and smooth throughout the year.

3. Moisturize them


First, take the time to exfoliate your legs so that the dead skin cells are removed, and then apply oil or lotion. Do this every time after you shower, so that the skin of your legs is soft and smooth, and in order to make your legs look even more fabulous.

4. Remove the hair


There are various hair removal methods which you can use to ensure you get all the unwanted hair from your legs, and so that they look smooth and gorgeous. 5. Fight off the cellulite

7. Take care of those toes and heels as well


It is recommended that you get a pedicure at least once a month. Use the services of a professional, or save money and get yourself a good home pedicure kit and take care of those toes and heels by yourself. You can soften the skin of your heels and the toe nails by taking the time for a foot bath now and then. Fill a bucket with lukewarm water and add some oil and shampoo. Dip the legs in and stay like that for about 30 minutes. Use a pumice stone to remove the rough skin on your heels and after you are done, moisturize the feet thoroughly with a good quality foot cream or oil.
