5 Bedtime Habits That Women with Great Skin Swear By

Beauty + Fashion

A lot of people believe that flawless skin is a gift that they get in their genes only. However, the truth is that the health and glow of the skin greatly depends on your daily habits. It is not easy to change your daily habits, especially when you have a busy schedule to follow.

I have gathered the following mini steps which you can use to achieve great skin overnight without having to majorly change your routine.

So, read through the list of some bedtime habits that people with great skin swear by:

Makeup Removal:

If you want your skin to look all fresh in the morning, makeup removal is essential. Do not go to bed with makeup on, no matter how tired you are. Makeup does not only clog the pores but it also prevents the repair of the skin cells when you are asleep. Therefore, make sure you keep makeup remover and some cotton balls on your dressing table to make it a habit that you never forget.

Exfoliation:

Exfoliating after you are done with removing your makeup thoroughly leaves the skin refreshed and free from all oils and impurities. Use a quality exfoliating face mask and scrub it off to get rid of all the dead skin cells. With such exfoliation, you will wake up with suppler skin.

Tied Back Hair:

It is never comfortable to sleep with your hair tied. However, if you want to prevent your skin from collecting the dirt and oils on your hair, it is better to tie your hair back before you go to bed. Doing so prevents the chances of breakouts as well. You can also wear a silk cap if you do not feel comfortable with hair ties.

Humidifier to Retain Moisture:

If your skin feels dry and you want to hydrate it while you sleep, having a humidifier in the room is a good idea. The moisture will not only soften the skin but also keep the pores hydrated. Also applying a moisturizing night cream will soften the skin and gett rid of the wrinkles, pigmentation and other skin issues overnight.

Eye Cream for Wrinkles and Dark Circles:

Under eyes is the most sensitive skin that gets wrinkled and dull easily, if not taken care of. Therefore, use an eye cream that works overnight to repair the skin and remove any wrinkles, tiredness or dark circles beneath the eyes. Just tap a little of it before you go to bed and let magic happen while you sleep.
